Katie Coleman

Welcome!

My name is Katie and I am a music director and pianist based in New York City. I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, where I worked as a music director for over ten years before moving to New York to continue pursuing my career in theater.

I’ve been lucky enough to be involved in several Broadway-level productions including SIX, ALADDIN, HAMILTON, WICKED, and FALSETTOS, as well as many exciting regional productions and new works. Check out my full resume here.

I am most passionate about developing new musicals or guiding existing ones from beginning stages to performance. In addition to music directing and playing piano, I also enjoy orchestrating and arranging. Because of my background in instrumental music, I have an in-depth understanding of how to both work with instrumentalists and write parts for them.

I have a bachelor of Music in Music Management from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, where I studied piano and trumpet.
